ALLENTOWN, PA (March 11, 2005) After delivering innovative design-driven pet products to the specialty market for over five years, Otis and Claude now announces a growth strategy that includes pursuing broader sales channels in the US and abroad. As part of that plan, the company is premiering its entire line at Global Pet Expo in Orlando, Florida.

As a leader in the pet boutique and gift markets, Otis and Claude has built a strong name by continually developing products that are fun, funky and functional for pets and their humans. "Since the company's inception, we have been committed to creating pet products that are unique and unexpected," says founder Diana Flynn. "Our strength is combining contemporary and retro design and applying it to shapes and characters, adding fashion-forward colors along with unique naming conventions and humor in all marketing components to deliver pet products that people want to buy and pets want to use"

The company started with a toy-obsessed chocolate lab name Dylan, a hip San Francisco loft and an idea that pet products could be better. In a time when dreams of making millions off every sill, Diana quite her job in hi-tech and set off to do something quite different. Since the initial success of its first product, the Bettie dog toy, the company has added several new lines of toys, bowls, beds, treats and accessories including Lucy, Jed, Floyd, Retros and Wag Bags and has recently started selling hip products for cats. The company has also begun selling cool accessories for people including t-shirts, note cards, wrapping paper and shoulder bags.
